When I do every once in a while treat myself to a designer purchase, the only thing I ever really want to drop the money on is something made by Kate Spade. While the namesake of Kate Spade is no longer in charge of the company, the products are still as great looking today as they were before.
This past summer, Kate Spade launched the book clutch series. The design team took some classic novels and inspired by their original covers, brought them to life on a clutch using hand drawn elements. My all-time favorite book is The Great Gatsby, which was one of the first books to be reimagined into a clutch for the series. Ever since the launch of the Gatsby clutch, I’ve been following the collection in awe of each new book clutch that makes its debut. If you need a way to store the clutches, they really are designed to look like a book with a bottom that looks like a book spine when stood vertically on a shelf. The current books turned into clutches for the series are Romeo and Juliet, Great Expectations, The Importance of Being Earnest and Emma.
