The Meatpacking District is one of my favorite areas of Manhattan. You have The High Line, the Chelsea Market and are just steps away from the village. On a recent trip to Manhattan with a friend we were walking around the Meatpacking District and by the Apple store came across this great yarn bomb of one of my all-time favorite logos, the rainbow Apple (side note: I really wish Apple still used this version of their logo). Of course I had to Instagram it and by searching the hashtag #londonkaye, I discovered that London Kaye is a Brooklyn-based street artist who crochets her pieces and displays them in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Flowers, animals, the Olympic rings, Disney characters and more of her crochet creations can be found on fences, subway signs and trees. You can find more of London Kaye’s work on her website and Instagram.
