Garden serendipity

When I’m photographing dahlias at my favorite dahlia garden, I always encounter a good number of bees that stay still long enough for me to photograph them, but I rarely get a butterfly that stays put long enough for me to set up the shot. Last week when at the garden I came across a butterfly that not only stayed long enough for me to get a few photos, but seemed like it wanted to pose for me. I cherish those rare photographic moments when I get them.
