Clark Botanic Garden on Long Island in Albertson is almost a hidden gem of a garden. Founded in 1969, the 12 acre grounds are hard to spot from the small sign outside the parking lot entrance alerting you to the garden. Once you find this place though, it is worth it to be met with all different varieties of flowers and trees depending on the time of year. For a garden that is located right off of a busy main street, once inside the gates you can’t even hear the traffic and forget where you are. I haven’t even visited every part of the garden yet I’m sad to say, but it just means I have to keep going back to explore more.
