Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns

Happy Halloween! One of my favorite local Halloween attractions is Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns at Old Westbury Gardens. It combines my love of pumpkins and art into one and just so happens to be at one of my favorite Long Island places. More than 5,000 pumpkins are carved and turned into creations such as animals, cars, skeletons and  more. There are also pumpkins painted and carved to look like TV characters, celebrities and video games. The best part of Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns is that each year the pumpkins are completely different, so you get to see something new every year. I’m already looking forward to next year’s jack o’lanterns.
