Red Carpet Style: Golden Globes

Award season is here and since I usually never see the movies nominated before the award shows air and I only watch like two of the television series that were nominated last night, I watch mainly for the fashion. Though this year most of the movies that were nominated last night are definitely on my list of movies I want to see, especially Moonlight and La La Land.

Mandy Moore to me was hands down the best dressed of the night and I think I would’ve felt that way with or without the cape. Her Naeem Kahn dress was simple but made a statement and I love that she went with statement earrings over a necklace which would’ve ruined the look. She looked amazing last night. I wasn’t a fan of Brie Larson’s dress last year, but loved the red Rodarte dress this year. She looked like a classic movie star in the dress.ย The Georges Chakra gown that Felicity Huffman wore was elegant and shimmery at the same time and it worked perfectly for her.

Sequins seemed to be a big hit on the red carpet and at first glance I wasn’t a fan of Kristen Bell’s Jenny Packham dress, but the more they showed her on the carpet the more I felt like the dress really worked well for her. I’ve never seen Stranger Things but Millie Bobby Brown has great style on the red carpet for someone who is only 12 years old. The Jenny Packham dress was perfect for her being youthful but still dramatic for the occasion. Regina King looked beautiful in her silver Romona Keveza gown that was glittery yet still understated.
