Autumn Colors

The weather has not really been autumn-like lately,  but the leaves are slowly starting to change colors, so I can pretend it is colder out than it really is.

Yesterday was the first cooler day we have had in weeks, so I had to pay a visit to one of my favorite places, Old Westbury Gardens. Autumn is my favorite time to visit the gardens with the colorful chrysanthemum varieties on display, the dahlias still going strong and the little sneak peeks at the pumpkins on display for Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns.

It is still early in the season so many of the leaves are still a vibrant green, but a few of the trees are starting to change over, making you easily forget that it was 80 degrees the day before!
