I never got caught up in the Will and Kate fever when they got engaged and were married, but for some reason, I couldn’t wait for the wedding of Harry and Meghan, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The alarm was set this morning and I couldn’t wait to see the first reveal of her wedding dress, which in my opinion was absolutely beautiful.
The simplicity and elegance of her Givenchy dress complemented perfectly with her decorative and elaborate veil, which featured flowers of the 53 Commonwealth nations as well as a California poppy.
I think she is gorgeous to begin with and her natural make-up for the wedding was beautiful. At first I thought it was odd that her hair was up when you caught the first glimpse of her in the car, but once she stepped out, it showcased Queen Mary’s tiara perfectly.
Aside from Meghan’s dress, I couldn’t wait to see what the other guests were wearing. Here are my favorites of the celebrities that were invited.
Amal Clooney in my opinion was the absolute best dressed. She looked gorgeous in her yellow dress and matching hat. I also loved that on Good Morning America’s coverage they introduced her as world-renowned human rights lawyer Amal Clooney and her husband.
I love how Gabriel Macht matched Jacinda Barrett’s dress with his maroon tie, which was my second favorite. Seeing her made me miss Bloodline, long live the Rayburns!
Pink was a popular color among the wedding guests and Serena Williams’ dress was perfect for her. I also love that she took a little risk with the fascinator since most celebrities played it safe.
Patrick J. Adams and Troian Bellisario are one of my favorite celebrity couples, not only are they adorable together but I love that they use their voices for change. Troian looked beautiful in her blush gown and Patrick complemented her perfectly in his morning suit.
And now we wait to see if Meghan has a second dress and what it looks like. I love the spin that Harry and Meghan have put on the royal family, making them more modern along the way and being embraced by the Queen for doing so.
