Peony Season

I hate when the tulips start to fade from the gardens, but the one bright spot of those departing is that it means the peonies are starting to bloom. Peonies are one of my favorite flowers and I wish they would stick around longer than they do.

The other day I paid a visit to one of my favorite garden spots with the hope of catching some last minute tulips, which I did, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the tree peonies already blooming. Due to the multiple snow storms we had in March, a lot of flowers were blooming later than usual on Long Island, so I thought the peonies would follow the trend. If you need me, I’ll just be at all the gardens photographing the peonies!
